FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

ORDERS

How long do you take to ship?

Our jewelry is made by the order. As such, we ship orders 5-8 business days after you've placed it. If you have not received a "shipping confirmation" email by then, send us an email and we will get back to you.

Which countries do you ship to?

We ship locally to the USA. With options for standard or express shipping.

We are currently working on international shipping, but it is not yet available.

On that note, MURCADO is not liable for any import or duty fees by customs in your country.

I gave you my wrong address! What should I do?

If your order has not shipped, we can definitely change your address for you. Send us an email ASAP to support@murcado.com.

If I start on an order online and do not finish will my cart be saved automatically?

Yes, your order will remain in your cart if you are logged in to your account. However, if you clear the cookies/cache in your browser or have any settings/extensions that do so, we cannot guarantee your cart will be saved.

I've finished placing my order and already checked out, but realized I forgot to add an item. What should I do?

We typically begin preparing and shipping orders within just a few hours of purchase. If you request to add items after your order has already entered processing, you will be responsible for any additional shipping costs associated with the update.

Where is my order confirmation?

Your order confirmation is automatically sent to the email address you provide at checkout. If you do not see your order confirmation, please check your spam folder. You can also find it in your order history by logging into your account and reviewing your order history.

How do I track my order?

Tracking information will be provided when your order has been shipped and scanned by the shipping company. Your tracking number is automatically sent to the email address you provide at checkout. If you do not see your tracking information, please check your spam folder. You can also find it in your order history by logging into your account and reviewing your order history. If the tracking number is not there, that means a shipping label has not been created yet.

JEWELRY

Where are your items produced?

To provide the best quality and prices possible to our customers, we source components for our jewelry from all over the world! For example, our CZ stones come from Austria because they produce a more durable stone. Our gold is from Alaska and Turkey, because we've found that they provide some of the best gold in the world!

Does your jewelry tarnish or turn skin green?

While we have a variety of metals used on our website, most of them are made using 316L surgical grade stainless steel. 316L is used in surgical tools and is considered safe for most skin types and won't turn your skin green! Because stainless steel has chromium added, it won't oxidize and tarnish like other metals. While everyone's skin is different, brass, copper, and nickel are the most common metals that cause skin reactions and discolorations.

Is the gold jewelry actually solid gold?

We use 18K Gold PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) coating technology to give our 18K Gold the beautiful sheen you see! We are currently partnering with additional suppliers to provide you more options such as solid gold-filled jewelry and diamond pieces. Please refer to the product material tab when you click on a product.

How do you color your stainless steel jewelry?

We use PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) coating technology! This process vacuum seals the coating of 18K gold, 18K rose gold, black, and rainbow directly onto the steel. This produces a harder and more corrosion-resistant coating than electroplating. Because these pieces are so durable they are tarnish resistant for years with normal wear! Our PVD coatings have even been shown to surpass 1200 hours of neutral salt spray.

How thick do you coat or plate your products?

We typically coat between 8-10 microns to ensure a brilliant, long lasting finish.

Is your jewelry nickel free?

While we have a variety of metals used on our website, most of it is made using 316L Surgical grade stainless steel. 316L is used in surgical tools and is considered safe for most skin types. While a small percentage of nickel is present in most types of metal, including fine gold and top-grade steel products, we've designed and produced all our jewelry with your utmost health and safety in mind. Unless you are part of an extremely low population of people with a severe nickel allergy, our jewelry is safe and great for the everyday wearer! For questions on specific pieces, please contact us.

How do you clean the jewelry?

We recommend using polishing cloths to restore the shine to your jewelry!

For any other questions, please send us an email at support@murcado.com and we will happily get back to you.
